CoStar Group, a leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information, analytics and 3D digital twin technology, announced that it has completed its acquisition of Zonda, a new home-construction data, homebuilder software and residential real estate marketplace platform, for $800 million in cash.

Zonda’s platform of proprietary lot-level construction and development data, which serves more than 3,000 homebuilders, developers, lenders and suppliers, gives CoStar a foothold in the $400 billion annual U.S. new-home sales market, according to the CoStar announcement.

Based in Washington, D.C., Zonda generated approximately $170 million in revenue in 2025. CoStar’s acquisition of the platform was first announced in May.

“Zonda has built an exceptional business around information the homebuilding industry relies on every day,” Andy Florance, founder and CEO of CoStar, said in announcing the deal’s closing. “This is a massive market with a sophisticated group of builders, developers, lenders, investors and suppliers that need purpose-built information, analytics and marketing solutions. With the acquisition now complete, we have the opportunity to bring together Zonda’s proprietary new construction data, software and builder relationships with CoStar Group’s technology, analytics and marketplace capabilities.”

The deal provides Arlington, Va.-based CoStar with new-home data and analytics from Zonda, which tracks new-home communities, land development, construction activity, home sales and builder operations at the lot level.

In addition, Zonda-owned residential marketplaces NewHomeSource.com and Livabl join CoStar’s portfolio, expanding its consumer marketplace business specifically into new construction.

CoStar also said it plans to explore combining Zonda’s Envision visualization platform with CoStar’s Matterport’s spatial technology to create richer digital home-shopping experiences.

“For decades, Zonda has earned the trust of the homebuilding industry by providing the data, intelligence and solutions our customers rely on every day,” Jeff Meyers, president of Zonda, said in a statement. “By joining CoStar Group, we gain the scale, technology and resources to accelerate innovation, deepen our industry insights, and deliver even greater value to builders, developers and housing professionals.”

The closing comes as CoStar continues to expand its residential real estate businesses. In the second quarter of 2026, CoStar generated $925 million in revenue, an increase of 18 percent year-over-year. Residential revenue increased 33 percent year-over-year to $444 million.
