New York City-based private real estate firm Midwood Investment & Development has hired a new chief financial officer.
Aarthi Bansidhar, a former managing director at Madison Capital, joined Midwood in June to lead its financial strategy, capital planning and performance management efforts across its national portfolio of office, residential and retail assets.
“Aarthi brings an impressive track record of financial expertise and strategic leadership to the team, which will be invaluable as our company continues to grow and build out our national portfolio,” John Usdan, CEO of Midwood, said in a statement.
Bansidhar has worked in finance and real estate for two decades, working at Madison for over 13 years. Before that, she worked as a senior manager of the asset management practice at Ernst & Young for close to nine years, according to her LinkedIn profile.
“I’m eager to help strengthen our financial strategy and contribute to the company’s continued growth,” Bansidhar said in a statement.
Bansidhar studied business management and accounting at Baruch College.
Projects currently under development for Midwood include a 25-unit condominium project at 150 East 78th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in collaboration with Robert A.M. Stern Architects, and a 31-story multifamily rental building at 210 South 12th Street in Philadelphia.
