reprintsA furniture rental and purchase company, ZZ Driggs, is the newest tenant at Brooklyn’s Industry City, having signed a lease for 7,000 square feet in the second quarter of this year.
The company has already moved to its first long-term office and warehouse space at the Sunset Park campus in its new five-year lease. Asking rents at Industry City range from $15 to $40 per square foot.
“The tenant was very focused on having a clean space to work out of, based on the products that they’re holding in house and then distributing from their space,” said Waverly Neer, who represented Industry City in the transaction. “I think they were drawn to Industry City for the opportunity to grow their new company.”
The campus, located at 274 36th Street, is owned by Belvedere Capital, Jamestown, and Angelo Gordon & Co and encompasses 16 buildings on the Brooklyn waterfront. ZZ Driggs joins West Elm, Restoration Hardware, Porcelanosa, and ABC Carpet & Home at the campus.
“We are thrilled to join the Industry City community,” Whitney Frances Falk, founder of ZZ Driggs, said in a statement. “We are excited to house ZZ here at [Industry City] in order to bring more ethically-made furniture into more American homes, and their partnership from the onset makes it possible.”
Industry City was represented in-house by Neer. ZZ Driggs was represented by Richard Bayer at Einbinder & Dunn and Bert Rosenblatt at Vicus Partners. Rosenblatt did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
