Web design firm Wix has nailed down space across from the Whitney Museum in the Meatpacking District.

The website builder has leased 15,784 square feet for 10 years at TF Cornerstone’s 95 Horatio Street, the company announced earlier this month. The new space will house 80 employees on the company’s sales, marketing, product and operations teams, as well as an event area for design-focused workshops, classes and lectures.

In an unusual move, Wix is putting its new offices in ground floor retail space, according to the New York Post, which broke the news about the lease. Its new offices will wrap around from Gansevoort Street to Tenth Avenue, overlooking the West Side Highway.

The Tel Aviv-based firm will join tenants like Intermix, Christian Louboutin, Hanro and By Killian at the base of 95 Horatio, a 315-unit residential complex.

Michael Berg of JLL (JLL) handled the deal for Wix, while Steve Gonzalez of TFC represented the landlord in-house.

“Wix has been in New York for over a decade and this marquee location represents the evolution of our company, employees and the Wix brand,” said Joe Pollaro, the general manager of U.S. operations at Wix. “We are able to have a showstopper space in an enigmatic and exciting neighborhood with access to some of the best creative and technology talent in the world.”
