reprintsInterior Building Services, a 22-year-old construction management and general contracting firm specializing in commercial interiors, has renewed its lease for the entire 12th floor at 247 West 37th Street.
The company will remain in its 13,675-square-foot space in the building between Eighth and Ninth Avenues for 10 years. The asking rent was $42 per square foot, according to a spokeswoman for the Gural family’s Newmark Holdings, which owns the building.
Newmark Holdings’ Matthew Mandell represented the landlord in-house and Michael Morris of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank worked on behalf of Interior Building Services. Mandell didn’t respond to a request for comment via a spokeswoman.
“We investigated alternatives in the marketplace, but found that the Gural property presented the superior value from both qualitative and quantitative perspectives,” Morris said in prepared remarks via a spokeswoman. “The building renovations and ease of transaction completion made the determination to renew an easy decision.”
Other tenants in the18-story, 214,130-square-foot structure include Jewish Association Serving the Aged, Workmen’s Circle, The Journey Church’s administrative offices and the Stitch Bar & Lounge.
