SJP Properties and Mitsui Fudosan America have purchased an Upper West Side development site for $275 million from American Continental Properties, according to city property records made public today.

The sale of 208 Amsterdam Avenue between West 69th and West 70th Streets closed on Oct. 15, public records show.

The site offers the ability to construct a nearly 400,000-square-foot residential development up to 600 feet high, and the partnership is planning a 55-story condo project on the site, as The Real Deal reported last week. A one-story building with about 4,000 square feet sits on the site and the buyers have not yet filed demolition permits with the city’s Department of Buildings. No one from SJP Properties immediately responded to a request for comment via a spokesman.

CBRE (CBRE) brokers Darcy Stacom, Bill Shanahan and Paul Leibowitz represented the buyers in the transaction. The brokers declined to comment. It was not immediately clear who represented the sellers in the transaction.
