Soho Billiards, the pool hall evicted last October after 22 years at 298 Mulberry Street, will relocate to 250 East Houston at the base of the Red Square apartment building.

The new 4,200-square-foot space will feature a 10-foot bar and room for 74 patrons. The operators behind it hope to get State Liquor Authority approval for a booze license at a meeting on April 8th. Application materials state that the pool hall will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday and close at 4 a.m. on weekends.

According to a JDF Realty Inc. listing, the property’s asking rent is $75 per square foot. The site was previously occupied by a Sleepy’s mattress store that moved down the block into a space vacated by Blockbuster.

CBRE (CBRE) listed Soho Billiards’ old, prime corner spot on Houston Street between Mulberry and Mott Streets, along with two smaller lots, for a total 10,365 square feet of commercial space. Bowery Boogie reported that original Soho Billiards principal Alex Espinal is the man behind the reiteration.
