A decrepit church has sold its land in Williamsburg, encompassing an entire city block, for $1.3 million, according to city records.
The former Methodist church at 405-415 South 3rd Street, which is now structurally unsound, sold its plot in an all-cash transaction to an unnamed buyer. The church occupies an entire city block, encompassing nearly 25,000 buildable square feet.
“It was unique in that the property comprised an entire city block,” said Massey Knakal‘s Mark Lively, who handled the transaction along with Robert Knakal. “It was a small block but still had frontage on four streets.”
