The new Michael Kors store on Madison Avenue was, according to the Dana Commercial Group of Prudential Douglas Elliman, a shining illustration of the “traditional” tenets of real estate brokerage. Namely, a location, a meeting and some ink on a dotted line.

With the former Ungaro store, about 4,000 square feet on two levels, sitting vacant, Gary Dana decided to call up Michael Kors. Except, Michael Kors being Michael Kors, this took some persistence. After a number of attempts, the parties finally agreed to sit down and talk terms. The meeting took just an hour.

Gary and Rick Dana co-brokered the deal.
