National footwear company Deer Stags Inc. leased the entire third floor, totaling 16,500 square feet, of 902 Broadway, the 20-story, 330,000-square-foot Flatiron office tower at 20th Street. Deer Stags will take the space early next year, once the build-out of it is completed. The firm is relocating from 1414 Avenue of the Americas.
The FirstService Williams agency team of Perry Mesmer, Marty Meyer and Seth Hecht handled negotiations for the landlord, 902 Associates.
“Deer Stags is a strong national firm that further compliments the roster of prestigious tenants at 902 Broadway,” Mr. Mesmer said in a statement. “After an extensive search of the market, Deer Stags chose 902 Broadway because of its prime location, quality of the building and the unique shape of the space.”
The footwear firm will find fellow tenants like Roadrunner Records, Bayard Advertising, Phipps Houses Services, Della Femina Rothschild Jeary, Milo Kleinberg Design Associates (MKDA) and H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, among others. (They will also have a Flatiron neighbor in The Commercial Observer, at 915 Broadway!)
Paul Ippolito, of Newmark Night Frank, represented Deer Stags. The lease is for 15 years, according to Crain’s.
