Keratinbar Takes Blow Salon’s Old Meatpacking Space

Keratin treatment salon Keratinbar is opening its second salon at 342 West 14th Street, in a space between Eighth and Ninth Avenues previously occupied by blowout joint Blow.
On June 15, Keratinbar leased 1,151 square feet on the ground floor and 1,042 square feet below ground, according to an announcement from Eastern Consolidated.
The lease is for 10 years and included a one-month concession. The asking rent was $195 per square foot.
Alexander Hill of Eastern Consolidated and Jeff Shapiro of NYC Restaurant Realty represented the tenant in the deal. The landlord, a condominium board, negotiated directly with the tenant’s brokers.
Keratinbar has a location at 175 Seventh Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets and its owner has another salon, Le Salon East, at 220 East 60th Street between Second and Third Avenues.
