Over the summer Commercial Observer conducted an industry-wide survey of multifamily owners to find out how they were coping with COVID-19 and rent collection, how they were grappling with the rent laws, and what they saw for the future of the sectors; CO learned that 54 percent of landlords had tenants who were missing rent; 44 percent were postponing rent increases and 34 percent were lowering rent; and more finds from a market in turmoil.
