Marks Paneth & Shron LLP has promoted Dawn Rhodes as a Partner in the Tax Practice, Paul Bercovici as a Principal in the Tax Practice, and Josefina Tranfa-Abboud as a Principal in the Litigation and Corporate Financial Advisory Services Group.

“These individuals have proven their superb expertise and effectiveness in advising businesses and high-net-worth individuals on tax planning and international tax matters, as well as in providing consulting, analytical and expert testimony services in labor and employment and commercial disputes,” said Mark Levenfus, a co-managing partner of the firm.

Dawn Rhodes’ responsibilities include assisting individuals and business with tax planning and consulting services. She has been with the firm for a number of years after her previous firm, Lipziger & Breskin LLP, combined with MP&S. She holds degrees from State University of New York at Oneonta and Binghamton University.

Paul Bercovici advises US and foreign clients on international tax issues associated with living in and outside of the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Josefina Tranfa-Abboud, holding degrees in economics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and Florida State University, provides clients with economic analysis related to modeling and estimation of economic damages in labor and employment disputes as well as commercial disputes. She is fluent in both Italian and Spanish as well.

“They embody the firm’s commitment to helping our clients navigate this increasingly complex economic and tax environment,” further commented Harry Moehringer, a co-managing partner.
