Inaugurated in 1983 to provide funding for diabetes research, the Empire Ball, formerly known as the Pyramid Ball, has expanded into a formidable charity in and of itself, with more than $28 million raised in its 28 years of existence. This year, no doubt, will be no different, with hundreds of selfless real estate leaders chipping in for the good cause.
