Hard Tail Extends Lease on 39th Street

Los Angeles-based clothier Hard Tail has signed a five-year extension to its 5,521-square-foot lease at 231 West 39th Street, known as the Contemporary Fashion Center, James Buslik, principal at Adams & Company, confirmed with The Commercial Observer. Asking rent was $40 per square foot.

“They liked the bright space–it was custom built for them,” Mr. Buslik said. Mr. Buslik, along with Jeff Buslik, also of Adams & Company, represented both the tenant and the landlord, 231/249 West 39 Street Associates, in the transaction. Read More

Point Zero Opens Showroom in New York

Point Zero has inked a 2,821-square-foot transaction to open a showroom and office in the Garment District.

Point Zero signed a deal for a new space at 231 West 39th Street, or the building known as the Contemporary Fashion Center.

The Canadian manufacturer of chic fashion forward apparel for men, women and children will join several notable tenants including Stargate Apparel, Inc., Destino Vero Designs and Apparel LLC, and Between the Notes LLC. Read More

Like Father, Like Son: Jeff Buslik on Updating Adams & Co. for 21st Century

He admits he wants people to know him by his first name, not his last. But broker Jeff Buslik, the son of Adams & Company head James Buslik, is bringing youth and vigor to a brokerage firm (and family) that has been around in New York City for as long as The Helmsley Building.
