Boston-based law firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo has inked a 101,394-square-foot lease at SL Green Realty Corp.’s 919 Third Avenue, the landlord announced Monday.

The 20-year lease, which was first reported by the New York Post, covers the 37th through 39th floors and a partial concourse level of the 47-story building between East 55th and East 56th streets. The company will move its New York City headquarters from 666 Third Avenue, between East 42nd and East 43rd streets. Asking rent for the space was $80 a square foot.

“We are growing rapidly in New York and we believe 919 [Third] is the perfect location for us to continue that growth and best serve the needs of our clients,” Stephen Gulotta, the managing member of Mintz’s New York office, said in a statement.

Moshe Sukenik, Eric Zemachson and Jason Perla of Newmark represented Mintz in the transaction, while SL Green (SLG) handled the deal in-house. A Newmark spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The 1.4-million-square-foot, 1971 office tower at 919 Third is also home to tenants including  Jenner & Block, Schulte Roth & Zabel, Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomingdale’s.
