Beauty retailer Bluemercury is opening a shop at the base of residential building 341 Amsterdam Avenue at West 76th Street, Commercial Observer has learned.

The luxury beauty products and spa retail chain’s new store will occupy 1,200 square feet on the ground floor and 500 square feet for storage in the basement through a 15-year lease, according to Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

NGKF’s Ross L. Kaplan and Stu L. Morden represented the landlord, Lichter & Lichter, in the transaction. The asking rent was $230 per square foot. Bluemercury should have possession of the space within a few weeks.

“After carefully selecting the perfect tenant for the space, we are very happy to welcome Bluemercury to the building with other premium operators such as Chop’t, who joined us six months ago,” Mr. Kaplan said in prepared remarks. “We have one space remaining in between these two great co-tenants and will be looking for complementary uses to complete the leasing at the building.”

John Auber of the Auber Group along with Tess Jacoby of RKF represented Bluemercury. Ms. Jacoby declined to comment and Mr. Auber didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Bluemercury’s existing Upper West Side locations are at 2305 Broadway between West 83rd and West 84th Streets and 2477 Broadway at West 92nd Street.
