Algomi Corporation has signed a 10-year lease for the entire 28th floor of Charles S. Cohen’s Tower 57 at 135 East 57th Street, Commercial Observer has learned.

The company, which provides information-matching solutions for the optimization of fixed-income liquidity, is expected to move into its new 7,255-square-foot space from its current location at 41 East 11th Street later this year, according to a press release issued by the landlord.

Colliers International’s Eric Ferriello and Robert Tunis represented the financial services firm.

“They love the building and they were attracted by the modernity of the building,” Mr. Tunis told CO. “They’re taking the entire 28th floor and have options and rights on additional space to grow. The management and operation of the building was very attractive to them.”

Cohen Brothers Realty Corp.’s Marc Horowitz represented the landlord in-house.

“We’re very excited to have them as a new addition to our building,” said Mr. Horowitz.

Asking rents were $90 per square foot.

The 31-story Tower 57 was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and opened in 1986. Mr. Cohen purchased the building, which sits between Park and Lexington Avenues, in 1997.

Other tenants at Tower 57 include Audemars Piguet, Moroccan Oil, Stoli Group, Tangent Capital and Sherborne Investors.
