Just months after Ron Solarz left Brookfield (BN) Financial to return to Eastern Consolidated, his former partner Eric Anton has joined the investment sales team in HFF’s New York office.

Mr. Anton started his new role on Monday as a senior managing director, according to The Real Deal, which first reported the move.

Messrs. Solarz and Anton joined Brookfield Financial from Eastern Consolidated in September 2011 but the pair split this April when Mr. Solarz announced his return to Eastern. The partnership ended on good terms, Mr. Solarz told Commercial Observer.

“Brookfield’s a great company and Eric has been a great friend and great partner for a long time but the punch line is it’s a better move for me, there’s nothing negative about it,” he said.
