Many consumers dream of having the fastest service available. Consumers in London will now have one of the fastest 4G connections in the world.

EE, a Britian-based communications company, will provide London’s Tech City area with one of the world’s fastest networks with speeds reaching 300 Mbps across its mobile network. EE will partner with Huawei to provide customers using the phones the ability to use the technology. Companies in the area will also be able to access the technology. The 4G network was unveiled last week at the Huawei Global Mobile Broadband Forum in London.

London“Today, we are introducing the next age of 4G mobile technology to the U.K. Our existing 4G network delivers incredible mobile data speeds and covers millions of people across the country, but we never stand still. We know that mobile data usage is going to keep increasing and rapidly so,” said Olaf Swantee, chief executive of EE. “The network we’re switching on today in Tech City uses the spectrum that we acquired in the Ofcom spectrum auction earlier this year and is the first part of an infrastructure that can meet the future demands of an increasingly data-hungry nation, enabling us to stay one step ahead of the demand.”

EE plans to expand the network to more areas in London in 2014.
