In July of last year, the New York Genome Center committed to take 150,000 square feet at the property, the first significant lease at the building since union SEIU Local 32BJ relocated to 620 Sixth Avenue and Edward Minskoff initiated a large scale capital improvement plan.

“It’s a cool neighborhood and after all the work we’ve put in, it’s got all the bells and whistles,” Mr. Minskoff told Crain’s New York, which first reported the lease earlier this week.

The tenant was represented by David Falk, Greg Wang and Eric Cagner of Newmark (NMRK) Grubb Knight Frank while the landlord was represented both in-house by Jeffrey Sussman and by Paul Glickman and Jonathan Fanuzzi of Jones Lang LaSalle.

Calls to brokers representing the tenant were not immediately returned.
