Press Tea will be opening another location at 167 Seventh Avenue South.

The tea shop will be taking a 550-square-foot retail space in the West Village on the corner of Seventh Avenue South and Perry Street. Press Tea offers a variety of products, pastries, and teas with popular drinks including the cold cream green tea, iced matcha latte, and an early grey iced latte.

The venture first launched on the Lower East Side at 168 Ludlow Street between Stanton and Houston by partners Kenny Shyu, Gary Ye, and Chris Chang.

Their new space features a huge 25-foot store front window on Seventh Avenue South and has a 350-square-foot basement.

"[It's] a prime West Village corner," said Tom Brady, the vice president of commercial sales and leasing at Town Residential. He continued saying that the area has a neighborhood feel with tree-lined streets and a mature and active population with disposable income.

Mr. Brady was joined by his coworker Valerie Martins in representing the tenant, HM Village Realty. Town Residential noted that management was looking for a tenant with a good concept, business plan, and credit.

Love Gelato had previously occupied the retail space.

The Commercial Observer had previously listed the street name as "167 Seventh Street" in the Retail Chart on February 26th, 2013. The correct address should read 167 Seventh Avenue South.
