Cubic Transportations will relocate their regional offices to Midtown.

Cubic Transportation Systems will take a 9,750-square-foot space on the 14th floor of 462 Seventh Avenue as its United States East Coast regional office. The department is one of three under Cubic Corporation, standing next to Cubic Defense Systems and Cubic Mission Support Services.

The company as a whole helps transportation authorities manage their operations and services in forty markets on five continents. Some of their recent clients include the government of South Wales and the bus system in London.

The firm was previously located at 245 West 17th Street.

"Cubic Corporation was looking for an office space with an open layout, central location in Manhattan and easy access to major transportation hubs," said Barbara Raskob, a director of leasing at the Kaufman Organization. "After an extensive search the firm found that 462 Seventh Avenue has great value and fits their company’s needs."

Mr. Raskob was joined by the president of the Kaufman Organization, Steven Kaufman, in representing the landlord, S.I.K. Associates LLC. A team from CBRE Commercial Real Estate Services consisting of Jared Freede and Jeffrey Kilimnick represented the tenant in the transaction.

Cubic Transportation Systems will join several notable tenants in the 23-story 185,000-square-foot building including Infinity Consulting Solutions, Real Networks, Redcats USA and Allied Aviation Services.

"Leasing activity has been very strong with excellent traffic," said Mr. Kaufman. "The building attracts tenants from all facets of business; particularly the tech sector."
