TED Conferences will be opening a new office in Hudson Square.

Known for thought-provoking conferences, TED will be taking 5,881 square feet on the ground floor of 315 Hudson Street, a building owned by Jack Resnick & Sons. The office will be located across the street from their other office that is approximately 14,000 square feet. The two offices combined bring TED’s presence to 20,000 square feet in Hudson Square.

“We love working with the Resnick team, and having the two offices located across the street from each other helps create synergies,” said Tom Valentino, the chief financial officer at TED Conferences, in a prepared statement.

He also noted that the “new space fits the company’s operational needs as the firm continues to grow its footprint in Hudson Square.”

The new office will house the company’s online instructional video series, TED Ed, and its sales division.

In-house broker Brett Greenberg represented Jack Resnick & Sons in the transaction. Kim Skarvelis of Cast Iron Realty was on the other side of the table representing TED Conferences.

The asking rent in the building range from $55 to $70 per square foot.

The lease, in combination with Moda Operandi‘s recent 25,000-square-foot deal, will bring the company’s Hudson Square portfolio to 100 percent occupancy. The portfolio includes both 250 and 315 Hudson Street with a total of nearly a million square feet of space.
