Vaunte will soon be calling 153 West 27th Street home.

The fashion company has signed a deal to take a 1,350-square-foot office at Justin Management's 153 West 27th Street.

"This is their first official office as they just launched the portal," said Pedro Carrillo, a broker at SBC Associates. The portal, an invitation-only shopping site, will peer into the closets of fashionable and prominent New Yorkers. The site has been much-anticipating, receiving attention from The New York Times in a profile piece two weeks ago.

"They found the building attractive as it is a prewar structure with standard loft appeal, and particularly because ownership has been conducting high-end renovations in the hallways and common areas throughout," Mr. Carillo continued. "The space is actually on a lower floor, but the L-shaped layout made it conducive to an administrative AND fashion studio setup."

"The very high ceilings and open loft plan give it a great sense of openness," he added. "Being a fashion-oriented business, they have designers on staff that have transformed the space into something special."

Mr. Carillo was joined by his colleague Robert Buckley in represented Vaunte in the transaction. In-house broker Sam Stein represented the landlord. Asking rent in the building was not disclosed, but the rate is generally around $30 per square foot.

"They are already looking to expand their space in the very near future as the launch has proved successful beyond their expectations," Mr. Carillo added. The building remains 97 percent leased with two similarly sized suites available on the second floor.
