Bien Cuit has inked a deal for a kitchen in Sunset Park.

The bakery will open a 5,000-square-foot kitchen at 4502 Second Avenue in Brooklyn to expand their wholesale production. The bakery currently operates out of a retail location at 120 Smith Street in Boerum Hill, but growth and demand have led business partners Zachary Golper and Kate Wheatcroft to expand operations.

Greg D’Avola, the founder of the newly established Brooklyn-based real estate firm Arena Properties, was instrumental in brokering the deal. Mr. D’Avola represented both Bien Cuit and the landlord, Glen Maranga, in the transaction. Mr. D’Avola did not return calls for comment.

The asking rent was $14 per square foot and the lease was set for ten years.

Bien Cuit, which opened its doors in July of 2011, has been named Best New Bakery by The Village Voice and was listed on the Best of 2011 lists in both The New York Times and New York magazine as well as a slew of local and smaller publications.

The expansion is not set to stop there as Bien Cuit has also inked a deal for a bakery in Manhattan at 35 Christopher Street near Waverly Place with cafe seating.
