Woolrich has inked a deal for an office in the Creative Arts Building.
The renowned outdoor clothing company will be relocating its New York headquarters to a 4,449-square-foot office in Rockrose Development‘s 300 Park Avenue South.
“Woolrich looked at approximately 30 other buildings throughout Manhattan,” said Henry Elghanayan, chairman and chief executive of Rockrose Development, in a prepared statement. “They wanted to have their office in Midtown South, and were particularly enthused with the high ceilings and all of the oversized windows in The Creative Arts Building.
“Woolrich felt that the new renovations of the building’s lobby, elevators and common areas placed 300 Park Avenue South in the highest echelon of Midtown South office buildings,” Mr. Elghanayan added.
The head of Rockrose’s office division, Craig Deitelzweig, worked alongside Mikael Nahmias of Cushman & Wakefield (CWK) in representing the landlord. Cushman & Wakefield’s Don Prete also worked on the deal representing the tenant.
The asking rent for the office was in the mid to upper $50s per square foot.
“The building is now firmly established as the premiere building in Midtown South, and our repositioning efforts for the property have paid off beyond our lofty expectations,” said Mr. Deitelzweig about the building.
“[It] has become a world-class hub for arts and cultural organizations as well as a center for some of the top creative media groups.”
Woolrich will join notable creative and cultural tenants such as the Whitney Museum, Smithsonian Institution, New York State Council on the Arts, and Rizzoli International Publishers.
