As bankruptcy proceedings surrounding Grubb & Ellis unfold, the exodus of brokers continued last week with the defection of Henry Goldfarb and Stanley Lindenfeld, who were named vice chairman and executive managing director of Lee & Associates’ New York City office, it was announced.

Mr. Goldfarb, a 26-year veteran who previously served as one of Grubb & Ellis’s most senior retail brokers, will continue to focus on retail and commercial brokerage transactions in New York City. Among his best known deals is the repositioning of Crowne Plaza’s 14,000-square-foot retail component, which significantly increased the leasable retail space, according to a release.

Mr. Lindenfeld, who also previously served as a retail expert at Grubb & Ellis, will now be responsible for representing both landlords and tenants in restaurant, retail and commercial deals.

“Henry and Stanley have demonstrated adeptness and savvy business acumen during very successful real estate careers in the New York real estate market,” said James Wacht, president of Lee NYC, which acquired Sierra Realty Corp. in November. “The two bring high levels of experience and have benefited numerous regional and national corporations in location advisory and consulting. We are indeed fortunate to have them come aboard as vice chairman and executive managing director.”
